You asked for the recipe and here it is!
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
2 1/2 cups flour
Cut butter in flour. Add:
1/2 cup sourdough starter
1 cup unsweetened yogurt or buttermilk
1 Tbs maple syrup or honey
Incorporate thouroughly until dough form loose ball. Set aside in warm place in the kitchen for 7-12 hours.
Combine together and sprinkle over the dough. Knead until dough forms cohesive ball.
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
In a separate bowl combine:
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Roll dough out about 1/4 inch thick onto floured countertop. Cover with:
1/2 cup butter, melted
Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over dough and roll. Slice into 1-1 1/2 inch pieces and place into buttered 12 inch cast iron skillet.
Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbs milk
2 drops maple syrup
Combine in a bowl and drizzle over cinnamon rolls. Dig in while they’re hot!!
